Steeton 0-4 Albion Sports
Pre-Season Friendly
Saturday 10th July 2021
I saw Steeton play their opening North West Counties League fixture at Cougar Park back in August 2018, so (if you wish) you can check out the club’s potted history and my visit to this old stadium >>> here
The NWCL side were forced to move as Keighley Cougars created a women's Rugby League team to play at the stadium. The club relocated just under a mile away to the revamped Marley Playing Fields, which is part of a £15m shake-up of Bradford’s sports facilities.
As well as the floodlit 3G generated pitch which is home to Steeton AFC, the Marley Activities and Coaching Centre also has 8 grass pitches, an indoor sports hall, junior and mini soccer pitches, a meeting room and 25 changing rooms.

The ground has a small stand with 3 rows of bench seats. There's a covered enclosure next to one of the goals, and the dugouts are on the far side.

Total Non-League grounds visited 480

(If you did read the Cougar Park blog) The same crack as the last visit to Steeton, but sadly none of the pubs.

A decent workout for both teams with the more experienced visitors coming out on top. They took the lead on the stroke of half time and grew stronger in the second half, with a fine two goal strike from the #9 securing a 4-0 win.
